How to Choose a Company Name in Hong Kong?
A company name serves as more than just a title; it is also the embodiment of a company’s identity and plays a crucial role in shaping the initial impression on business investors and clients. The name of a company holds significant importance in shaping its brand image and opens to various business prospects. The name of your company can be both clever and amusing, but it must not be offensive or against the common good.
Conducting a company name search in Hong Kong can be tricky and frustrating. This is where we as a company formation agency come into play, so you don’t have to worry about going through the hassle. Once you appoint us as your company secretary, please rest assured that we are determined to provide you with the best incorporation and maintenance experience possible.
This article is dedicated to those of you who are interested in company formation in Hong Kong but have no idea where to begin. To come up with a suitable name for your company, make sure you read through the entire piece, so you don’t run into any obstacles in case you want to conduct a name search on your own.
Choose Unique Words
For example, you may choose words such as “Archipelago” or “Ambidextrous”, something that is both unique and multisyllabic so that it can trigger one’s memory to create a profound memory when they see your company name. Additionally, to prevent possible trademark infringement, try to avoid using simple terms or famous brands such as “ABC” or “Red Bull” as part of your company name. As a professional company formation agency, we highly recommend that you use ironic terms that rhyme together, and perhaps they can even be somewhat humorous. For example, “Slime & Grime” or “Docile Lions” would draw people’s attention because of such distinctive word choices. On the other hand, to choose a suitable company name, you must avoid using common. For example, use “bliss” instead of “happy”, or use “glamorous” instead of “beautiful”. Ultimately, once you have an idea of how you want to name your company, you can conduct a name search in the government system under the Hong Kong Companies Registry.
